I have been fortunate to build a life and career around two of my greatest passions—animals and plants.
My father, through careful observation and years of experience, discovered the benefits of organic farming long before it was widely accepted. At a time when organic methods were dismissed as “inferior” and “unscientific,” he stood firm in his beliefs, applying these principles to his successful nursery business. Despite facing criticism, he remained committed, knowing through firsthand experience that he was on the right path. During my school years, we conducted our own plant-growing trials, comparing inorganic fertilizers with natural manures and compost. These experiments shaped my understanding of holistic health—whether for plants or animals.
Working with horses deepened this knowledge. Managing their nutrition, training, and rehabilitation while competing in eventing, dressage, and show jumping taught me what it takes to achieve truly healthy animals. Running a Thoroughbred pre-training, breeding, and rehabilitation yard further reinforced an essential truth—both plants and animals thrive when given a diverse range of bioavailable nutrients. True health and longevity come from the inside out, supported by nature’s wisdom.
